Some improvement opportunities will need more than just a single task.
The Project tool in Continuously is designed to include a few features, not just a set of tasks.
Each project opportunity is to be scored, using our BCS prioritisation system. This allows you to work on the 'biggest bang for your buck'.
This part of the platform also allows you to brainstorm tasks working backwards from the achieved goal to the start point. I have found this to be a more effective project planning method when working with my consulting clients. It can be turned off however.

1. Add your project's name into this field.
2. Rank the project against these three criteria:
Benefit - 10 is a game changer to your organisation, 1 is negligible impact. Select an appropriate rating.
Cost - 10 is practically free, 1 is very expensive. This needs to be in the context of your business, rate accordingly.
Speed - 10 can be done later today, 1 might be months or years to complete.
Defining these three criteria and what a 10 looks like (and a 1) for your organisation will help you to be consistent with your ratings.
Click the Add button when you are ready to submit.
3. To delete a project, click on the bin icon and follow the on screen prompts.
4. To edit a project, to add tasks or edit its status, click on the pencil icon and go to step 7.
5. To review the BCS score (Benefit x Cost x Speed) look at this column. Projects are listed in descending order based on their BCS score.
6. To view archived projects, use this toggle.

7. To edit the status, or BCS score, of the project click on the pencil icon and go to step 15.
8. This prompt is for backwards planning (B to A). Ignore it if you choose to not use the backwards approach.
9. Type in the name of your action here. You don't have to choose the assignee or due date at this point. Click on Add when you are ready.
10. To toggle the order sequence of the task list, click on this icon. The intention is that you backwards plan your tasks and then flip the list to then assign responsibilities and dates.
11. To delete a task from this list, click on the bin icon and follow the on screen prompts.
12. Edit the tasks details within this table. All changes automatically save.
13. To mark a task as complete, click the circle on the right hand side. The task will grey out, so that you can see the original plan as a whole.
14. To return to the list of projects, click on the back arrow.

15. In the edit screen you can change the name of the project and re-rate the Benefit, Cost and Speed criteria.
16. If you want to archive the project (or un-archive it), change the status here.
17. Click on the Update button when you have finished making your changes.
